community of faith.

OUR SERVICES

As His body, the church, we are called to gather together to worship Him. Each service is directed to give Him praise, glory, and honor.

At First Baptist we are journeying through a 3-year study called The Story of Redemption. Starting at the very beginning of Scripture in Genesis and going through to the end, the book of Revelation, we want to help you see how all Scripture fits together. We want you to see how God’s Word reveals who He is and who we are to a world that desperately needs the Gospel.

OUR HISTORY

First Baptist Church of Murrells Inlet, South Carolina was founded in 1939.

For over 75 years, we have been engaged in active and vital ministry in the Murrells Inlet area and around the world.

First Baptist Church is affiliated with the Southern Baptist Convention and is fully committed to faith in the good news of God’s unconditional love
for the world.

OUR DISCIPLESHIP

We are grateful that the Lord is gracious and calls us to Himself. When one repents of their sins and recognizes Jesus as Lord and Savior, we want to encourage them in pursuing their relationship with Christ.
Just like the church in Acts we want to help you take your first steps of your new life.

    We are committed…

  • To showing you how to Glorify God in all things.
  • To disciple you in the Word so that you may Grow with God and others.
  • To build you up so that you can Go proclaim the gospel to the world.

We encourage all believers to get plugged in a small group, Sunday school class, and to serve in different ministries in the church and community. Our aim is not to fill the church with warm bodies but to have active faithful believers using their gifts and talents to make much of Him.
